And this is based on a design I saw on Leah Day's blog, Poseidon's Eye. I wanted something that looked like eddies in the air from the dragonfly's wings.
You can maybe see the pattern a little better on the back. There is a definite circle theme in this quilt.

ReplyDeleteTruskawkowy materiał kupiłam gotowy. Niestety tylko mały kawałek - z wyprzedaży fabrycznej. Śmiało korzystaj z pikowania wokół wzoru. Daje to czasami różne ciekawe efekty, często nawet prawie trójwymiarowe.
Fajnie jest mieć maszynę z długim ramieniem do pikowania. Ja jeszcze się nie dorobiłam i muszę pikować małymi kroczkami na zwykłej maszynie Janome MC5200.

The strawberry fabric was bought in a sale - just a scrap. I can only recommend echo quilting around a pattern as you can get interesting effects sometimes even close to 3D.
I wish I had access to a long arm quilter, but it is well beyond my means so for the time being I have to stick to my Janome MC5200.
